Camp Pride Korea (CPK) 2024 was good times with friends and some changes! High schoolers grades 9 to 12 had three evenings of camaraderie, fun, and Korean culture. An evening of “Price is Right” at the Joong Boo Market and Food Court, followed by Korean BBQ and bonfire, and culminating in an overnight sleepover, that included fellow high school friends from Hanmee for games, good-fun shenanigans, and great memories. The high school program could not happen without the incredible support of Korean Adoptees of Chicago (KATCH).
This year included changes to camp for ages PreKindergarten to eighth grade with a family picnic at Hanmee Presbyterian. Families worked up an appetite after their drumming and Tae Kwon Do sessions. Many thanks to Hanmee for cooking a delicious traditional Korean lunch. An extended thanks to Soribeat Korean Music and Dance for our drum session and to John Crandall and team for their Tae Kwon Do instruction.
