Camp Pride Korea (CPK) 2023 is a wrap! Three full sunny summers days of good times, learning about the Korean culture, meeting up with old friends and making new ones. The kindergarten through 8th grade campers finessed their tae kwon do moves, Korean drumming and fan dancing skills, learned new techniques with their Korean calligraphy, made art projects for the year of the rabbit, and overindulged in traditional Korean meals and side dishes.
CPK would like to thank Hanmee Presbyterian Church, Kim’s Martial Arts, Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago (KPAC), Grace Lee fan dancing, Korean Adoptees of Chicago (KAtCH), and the many parent volunteers for their immense support and time with our campers this year!
PreK through 8th Grade
High School aged new and returning campers met in the evenings for a night of Pinstripes bowling, a backyard bonfire and Korean grilling at the Crandall home, and an overnight sleepover (that resulted in not much sleep). Camp week always whizzes by and next year can’t come soon enough!
